Counselor in Training Program – Sears Park Summer Camp

Do you want to be a camp counselor in the future?  Then this is the program for you.  This program will challenge you, inspire you, and allow you to make a difference in the lives of others.  The goal of the program is to develop leadership skills that you can use throughout life and to help others and yourself identify and achieve goals. We help to develop your skills in leading and teaching children.  All interested CITs will need to fill out an application, interview, set goals and be evaluated through your session.  You will not be one of the summer campers but an important participant in the lives of many children.  This program has a limited amount of availability (4 per session) and is divided into two sessions.  Participation as a CIT does not guarantee you a future position as a camp counselor. All applicants may not be selected as a CIT.

Session 1: June 17 – July 12
Session II: July 15 – August 9

Participants will also need to attend all required staff training events prior to the start of camp.  Depending on the number of applicants participants may be limited to just one of the sessions.

Applicants must be entering at least 8th grade and be under the age of 15.

Cost:  $280 per session.
Application Deadline:  April 1

Applications can be emailed to smullen@easthamptonct.gov  Please complete and submit the application before registering for the CIT program
